About This Tool

Disc Dump Verifier is a 100% client-side HTML tool. No files are uploaded — all hashing and comparison runs in your browser via the Web Crypto API. Open this file directly from your desktop and it works offline.

Features

Redump Auto-Fetch — paste a Redump URL and it extracts CRC32, SHA1, MD5, serial, media type, and track info

CORS Note

Redump.org doesn't send CORS headers, so direct fetch may fail in some browsers. If it does:
1. Open the Redump page in your browser → View Page Source → Copy All
2. Paste into the "Paste HTML" box under the fetch button
3. Click "Parse Pasted HTML" — same result, no CORS needed

Sector Format

CD-ROM sector = 2352 bytes (12 sync + 4 header + 2048 user data + 4 EDC + 276 ECC).
PS1 = Mode 2 (2336 user bytes). PS2 CD = Mode 1 (2048). PS2 DVD = 2064-byte sectors.

Filesystem Analysis

Extracts user data (bytes 16-2063 per sector) and compares separately. If user data matches but raw differs → EDC/ECC noise (safe). If user data differs → real corruption.
